WHAT IS THE INFILLING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT?
It is a PROMISE OF GOD.
“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh…” Joel 2:28 (NKJV)
“A new heart will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you…And I will put my spirit within you…” Ezekiel 36:26 – 27 (Amp)
It is the indwelling SPIRIT OF GOD.
“Even the Spirit of Truth…but ye know Him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” John 14: 17, 18 (KJV)
“…this mystery…which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Colossians 1:27 (KJV)
WHY SHOULD I RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT?
It is a part of the NEW BIRTH EXPERIENCE.
“Jesus answered…Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” John 3:5 (KJV)
“Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” Romans 8:9 (KJV)
It is your RESURRECTION POWER .
“Now if the Spirit of Him that raised up Christ dwell in you, he…shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his spirit that dwelleth in you.” Romans 8:11 (KJV)
It will lead you to all TRUTH.
“…When he, the Spirit of Truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth.” John 16:13 (KJV)
It is our COMFORTER.
“…he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever.” John 14:16 (KJV)
“…righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.” Romans 14:17 (KJV)
HOW DO I RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT?
BELIEVE that it is real and it is for you.
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)
“And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” Matthew 21:22 (KJV)
ASK for it.
“Ask and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” Matthew 7:7 (KJV)
“And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do.” John 14:13 (KJV)
Begin to praise the Lord and THANK Him for it.
“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him and bless his name.” Psalms 100:4 (KJV)
HOW WILL I KNOW I HAVE RECEIVED THE HOLY SPIRIT?
You will speak in an UNKOWN LANGUAGE.
“And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” Acts 2:4 (KJV)
“And they…were astonished…because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the Holy Ghost. For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God.” Acts 10:45 – 46 (KJV)
